How to manage sites in Enterprise Manager

The following article explains how to manage sites in the Enterprise Manager application.

Default Site

Default Site

When the Mandalay CS database is first installed a default site is created. This site is the central site and its details can be changed. The Site ID defaults to MT but can be adjusted to something more meaningful. We suggest changing it to HO to indicate the Head Office when you first run Enterprise Manager.

Note: If transactions are captured against this site then the ID can no longer be changed.

Adding a new Site

To create a new site use the following instructions.

  1. Click on the Add button

  3. Enter the name of the site. (Note this will appear at the top of the tickets produced for this site)
  4. Enter a debtor code. This code is used by financial interfaces to identify a cost center for a site.
  5. Click on the Save button to save the new site.

Modifying a Site

If you want to undo the changes then click the Refresh button and this will reload the details from the database. Note:  It is not possible to undo anything once the Save button has been pressed.

Only one site can be designated as the central site and can not be changed.

Test Site

Test Site

A test site can be used to test pricing changes before they are implemented. When a user connects as this site they are presented with an option to set the current date and time that the system is running under, thus allowing them to forward date the system to when a price changes will occur.

It is also possible for a data administrator to purge all transactions recorded under this site.

Licensing

The licensing section is no longer needed and can be ignored.
