How to create a report to check product favorites

Checking your setup of products against your state government data pack can be time consuming, if just using Administration to verify each product. Its possible in WBR to create a report that presents all the relevant information for each product. This will allow for easy review of each product setup.

The following guide explains how to use the Product Favorite view in WBR to present all the regulatory data codes recorded against a product for subsequent recording in a transaction.

The limitation of the reporting view means that it will not report products that have no regulatory data codes.

Create new report

In WBR select the create report button.

Enter some general details for the report. There is only a few columns so the portrait format template is fine to use.

The view to use is the Product Favorite view.

Add columns

Add the following columns to your report:

  • Product Name
  • Favorite Name
  • Item Name
  • Item Code (change width to 30)
  • Product ID (set to hidden)
  • Favorite Type ID (set to hidden)

Set the grouping and sorting options

Set the Product Name to be grouped and set the sorting to Ascending.

Add filtering options

Set the item Code, Product ID and Favorite Type ID to Allow Filter.

Remove aggregate information

From the sections tab change each non grouped column location to Detail Only (no aggregate)

View and run the report

Select the View button and generate the report. Add criteria if necessary to filter the results.

Setting a Favorite Type and Item code will allow for checking all product set against a specific code.

E.G. Setting favorite type to Waste Stream and Item Code to MSW will present all product defined as MSW.
