How to manually re-tare a stored tare vehicle

If a vehicle has been configured to record a stored tare then it is possible to set tare manually at any time from the Ticketing system. See the article  on how to configure a vehicle to use stored tare.

Turn on re-tare mode

Click the re-tare button located at the bottom right of the In List. When the re-tare button has been selected it will turn yellow.

Note: The re-tare button is only available on the In screen the Out screen does not show this button. Some computers are configured to show the out list by default so it may be necessary to change to the In list to re-tare a vehicle manually.

If more than one scale is available it is possible to choose which scale the tare will be captured from.

To do this click on the digital indicator for the scale that will used.

If a vehicle has been setup with more than one possible configuration it will be necessary to select the configuration to be tared.

If the configuration is not available then you will need to add one from the Administration program.

Confirm the tare update by clicking the Yes button.

The stored tare for this vehicle and configuration (if necessary) will be updated and will expire based on the expiry interval set for the vehicle. The updated tare will also be reflected in administration in the vehicles details.
