Bypass Lane operator quick reference guide

The following is a quick reference guide for operators that need to monitor an automated access control lane with Mandalay CS ticket. Full details on this feature can be found here.

The following article relates to installations that use version 3.5.0.212 or greater of Mandalay CS.

Console

  1. Open  - This button controls the boom gate which will stay open after this button is pressed until the button is pressed again to close it.
  2. Pop - This button will temporarily trigger the gate to open. This is used in cased where an operator wants to allow a vehicle through the gate.
  3. Online - This button indicates the status of the system managing the gate. Pressing this button will turn off the LPR monitoring system and will require a user with Access Control Admin permissions to trigger this. An event response will also be required.
  4. Select Vehicle - This can be used to trigger an action in the gate without external input like Dallas tags or LPR.

Authroised Exit

Vehicle is authorised to pass through the gate.

Alerts

All alerts may trigger a warning sound on the computer if sound is available.

Open Ticket

This vehicle had an incomplete ticket. You can access the details of the ticket by pressing the Current Txn button. This ticket must be completed before the vehicle can pass through the gate.

Unauthorised

This vehicle is registered in Mandalay CS but has no completed or incomplete tickets. Vehicle must be given authorisation to proceed through the gate or a transaction processed.

Unknown vehicle

The system knows there is a vehicle there but the vehicle is not registered in Mandalay CS, has not completed in the required time period or has not incomplete ticket.

Warnings

There are some messages that are just presented as warnings and do not require attention but may indicate something that needs to be observed.
