Requirements for Image Capture Cameras
The image capture functionality within Mandalay CS requires cameras to meet certain requirements to be compatible. The following are the mandatory requirements plus recommended requirements. We have also provided a list of camera models that Mandalay supply that are known to be compatible with this module.
Minimum Requirements
- Can request JPEG image via HTTP url request.
- The size of the image returned can be configured down to at least 1080 x 720 (720p)
- The images returned can be in a compressed format so that image file size is no larger than 500kb.
Recommended Requirements
- Text overlay for easy identification of camera position.
- Wide Dynamic Range
- Optical zoom or options for fixed focal lengths lenses rather than digital zooming. This will provide a better quality image.
