Overview of the changes in 3.3

Highlights of the changes made in version 3.3 of Mandalay CS include:

  • Administration advanced searching and filtering

  • Replacement reason separated from cancellation reason to provide greater security control.
  • New season defaults the end time to 23:59 to avoid pricing problems at season changes.

The following defects have also been addressed.

  • Changing a product will now cause the location to be reset.
  • Fixed inconsistency with the ALL button for linked favorites
  • Fixed a blank product being created when changing the Product list filter
  • Fixed a date/time issue when enabling Allow Different Dates in the configuration manager
  • Fixed Manage Favorites button not enabling when Advanced Payment type is selected
  • Fixed issue with repeat last not working correctly for Multi Each items
  • Fixed issue with NSW POEO export view not displaying Internal Movements as Not Reportable
  • Fixed issue whereby unstable weights were triggering price recalculation
  • Fixed issue when selecting a vehicle with default GVM it may apply that to the a vehicle with no GVM assigned
  • Regulatory Categories will reset after a product change in ticketing.

Add address details for pay later / prepaid accounts

When creating a temporary account for use in a prepaid or pay later scenario, the address details can also be captured.

Various WBR enhancements

Various WBR enhancements
  • Extended report folder length
  • Indicator on published report to show the custom or system report is is based on.
  • Summary reports can be exported in raw data format.

Various enhancements to Cartage

The following enhancements have been added to the cartage pricing model.

  • Cartage pricing can be set based on the configuration of the vehicle. (e.g. Truck, Truck and Dog)
  • Cartage rates can include a flat per load fee on top of the regular cartage rates, to cover the cost of tolls based on the destination location.
  • Some cartage rates can be banded on distance not just tonnage levels.
  • Contracts can be assigned a fixed distance for travel to calculate cartage.
  • Ability to apply a bulk percentage increase to the cartage rate
  • Marginal rates included in cartage can now be separated in reports.
  • Banded cartage rates can now be set to cumulative pricing, similar to product pricing.
  • Cartage pricing rules can now be copied.

Shift based progressive contract/client totals on ticket.

The system provides a ticket template field to allow the accumulative total for the current primary product for the current till shift, against either the contract if applicable or the client if no contract recorded against the ticket.

Reopen previous till shift

Reopen previous till shift

There may be cases were an operator has accidentally closed the current shift and potentially issued tickets under this. To allow this to be corrected there is a function available in Ticketing to perform the following:

  • Re-open the previous till shift.
  • Move any tickets issues against the current shift into the re-opened shift.
  • Move any operator shifts recorded against the current shift into the re-opened shift.
  • Prompt for authorisation to do so.

A new permission is available that allows the re-opening to be performed only by authorised users.

Time based product/client surcharge and discounts.

Mandalay CS allows a surcharge or discount to the price of a product based on date, time of day, duration, specific site product and specific clients.

The capturing of a regulated waste tracking number for material, such as asbestos, can now be enforced at the contract level. Previously this was only available at the product level.
