How to Add a Stored Tare to a Vehicle in Administration

In some cases it may be necessary to store a vehicle's tare in order to improve the operations on site. It is possible to create vehicles in the Ticketing application with a stored tare and this is covered in a separate article.

The following steps explain how to add the stored tare feature to an existing vehicle in the Administration application. The same procedure can be used when adding a new Vehicle.

Select the Vehicle in the Administration Application

  1. Select the Vehicles tab in the Administration application
  2. Select the vehicle from the left side menu

Setup Stored Tare

  1. Check the Use Stored Tare check box to activate this feature for this vehicle
  2. Select the expiry interval.

Expiry Interval

  • The expiry interval can either be based on the elapsed days since the last tare capture or based on the number of loads.
  • Setting an interval of 0 will mean that the tare will never expire and will need to be manually re-tared
  • Once the interval is complete the ticketing system will prompt the operator to capture the tare when the vehicle is selected for a transaction

Select a Vehicle Configuration

  1. From the drop down menu, select the vehicle configuration that the tare will be recorded against.
  2. If the tare is known then it can be entered here, otherwise the system will asked for the tare to be captured the next time this vehicle and configuration is selected for a transaction.
