The unit price is not showing correctly when the minimum price is used.

The unit price displayed on the default ticket template for Mandalay CS uses the formula Total Price divided by the Actual Quantity. This could either be tonnes or any other units. In a weighed transaction this will be what ever the net wight is for the load.

However in transactions where a product has a minimum price the system will not use the actual quantity to determine the price but instead uses a fixed value which relates to a specific amount of a product after the value reaches a certain point.

E.G Price per tonne is $20 but the minimum is set to $10. This means the minimum tonnage is 0.5 tonnes so any time the price reaches below $10, then the quantity charged will actually be set at 0.5 tonnes.

Mandalay CS refers to this quantity as the Charged Quantity rather than the actual quantity. There is a field available for ticket templates that uses the charged quantity instead of the actual quantity when back calculating the unit price.

Use the following steps to adjust the template.

If you are not familiar with changing ticket templates then use this guide.

Charged Quantity Unit Price Fields

There are 2 fields available for use in ticket templates that make use of the Charged Quantity for calculating the unit price. These are:

  • EUP - Charged Unit Price excluding EPA Fee (unitary price bands)
  • CUEPA - = Charged Unit Price including EPA Fee (unitary price bands)

These codes can be used in either the sub item templates or the primary templates.

Replace PPRICE code

Replace PPRICE code

In most cases this will need to be changed in just the tktGTN.txt template. Within this template is a field called PPRICE, this should be replaced with once of the charge quantity field codes.
